• HTTP JVM Security Exception: not allowed to modify file

By Timothy Massey 1 decade ago

    Hello!

I've upgraded to 1.2.0.1 by replacing the FileSendr.ntf template and signing it with the server's ID, then deleting and recreating a new database.  When I upload a file, I now get the following error on the server console:

HTTP JVM: error: java.lang.SecurityException: not allowed to access or modify file: /xspupload/__xsp467tmp

I've stopped the server, deleted the xspupload directory and restarted the server.  When I try to upload a file the directory gets re-created (with proper permissions, too) but I still get the same error.

I don't know what else to try.  I've tried to examine the doc to see if there were any installation changes, but they're the same doc I already used:  they're still marked as version 1.1!  :)

Also, when the upload fails, the client just sits there.  It's not greyed out like 1.1 did, but it just sits there and nothing happens.  Feedback of some sort of issue would be nice...

Please feel free to contact me for more help or debugging.  This is a high priority for me.

    • Never mind: Signed as *user* not *server*

Sorry for the noise.  I didn't sign the template with the *server*'s ID.  Now that I have, it works.

Now to test large files!  :)
