• Clearing Transaction Logs?

    Hi,



    I have a question:



    When you run knback does it clear (or reset) the transaction logs?



    Also, part 2 of the question, if you just want to do regular simple backups, what is the recommended transaction logging method?

    Archive? Circular? etc?

      As far as I know, knback does not clear or reset the transaction logs. It will just apply the changes that happened between the time the db was locked for backup and when the backup ended.



      For the transaction logging type, the default IBM suggest is Circular. Any type should work fine with knback. If you want more info you can take a look at this technote :
