Posted by

on
September 7, 2026
It's the time of year when elections open for the
OpenNTF Board
.
We have five Member Director posts available this year. The current Member Directors whose terms are expiring are:
- Jesse Gallagher
- Serdar Basegmez
- Heiko Voigt
- Kim Greene
- Doug Robinson
Member Director posts can be filled by anyone working for an
OpenNTF member company
. Companies can still become OpenNTF members prior to the election. Any company wishing to become a member should contact a Board member on Discord.
The terms of the three Contributor Director posts are also expiring. Anyone with an ICLA or CCLA is eligible to stand for a Contributor Director post, which has a one-year term. The current incumbents are:
- Graham Acres
- David Hablewitz
- Christoph Adler
Current Board member and former Chairperson Graham Acres intends to step down at the end of his term, so there is an open spot to fill.
Anyone interested in standing should submit their name and a candidate statement to ip-manager at openntf.org. You may also contact any Board member on Discord if you have any questions or would like more information.
The election schedule will be:
- Nominations are open until 5pm EDT on Monday, 21st September.
- Voting will take place from Tuesday, 22nd September until 5pm EDT on Wednesday, 30th September*.
- The new Board will meet for the first time on Tuesday, 13th October.
* If the number of candidates is equal to or fewer than the number of available posts, those candidates will be elected by acclamation and no ballot will be required.
