• A question re FT Search & Attachments

    Firstly, just found this and it looks fantastic.



    I do have a questions related to FT searching….


    1. If I have ocr'd attachments in a doc, and have set the FT Index to Index Attached Files, I assume it will find search terms within the attachment? Just like it does doiung a normal FT search.

      Yes, the FT search of the view uses an Agent which uses the FTSearch lotusscript function, so it's doing an actual full-text search of the view, not "appearing" to or anything like that.
