      Hi Susanto,

Sorry that you are having trouble with Vacation Request and that I am late in responding …

Each person in the system must have an Annual Leave Allowance document in the system for each year in which they can request leave. For Requests to be approved the person must have enough days remaining in their allowance. Here is how you enter the Allowance documents:

Switch to an "All Annual Leave Allowance" view (View,GoTo) and then

      click the button;

      next

      -Choose Person Name.

      -Pick the Team/Location

-Choose Start Date. NB: Leave is calculated by the calendar year.

-Type in the Annual Leave Allowance in days

-Days Brought Forward: At the begining of a Year type in the number of unused Days Brought Forward into this year's Leave Allocation from last year if you organization allows for this.

-Days Carried Forward: At Year End type in the number of unused Days Carried Forward into next year's Leave Allocation if you organization allows for this.

Repeat this process for each person that you want in the system. If you have problems be sure that you have the correct access level and all required roles as specified in the Help,Using document.

      HTH,

      Bob

I was actually having the same trouble, and what was confusing, initially at any rate, to me was that the view you mentioned wasn't in the database I created from the template. I actually saw several views in the template that I did not see when I created a database from that template. I'm going to go back and try again, it was probably something I did…

I am using v2.26c and even though I have created annual leave documents, I still get the error message when trying to create requests that they are NOT created.

Any ideas? I have read the Help file and tried creating new yearly leave documents to no avail.

      • Are You Using a Local Replica?

By Bob Brodsky 2 decades ago

        Hi Julia ,

Thanks for your interest in Vacation Request!

I have seen the behavior that you are experiencing when using a Local replica: the indices are not recalculating so the documents can not be found. Please try F9 to recalculate the views and also exit Notes and restart Notes.

When I check for the presence of Annual Leave Allocation documents I select by Full Notes Name and Year. so the Name must match and the Year of the Leave Request must also match the Year of the Allocation.

Please let me know if these ideas helped resolve your issue,

        Bob
