• Browser interface

    Are there any plans to improve the helpdesk application for usage through a browser ?

    Just created a helpdesk database based on the 1.0.10 template and looks very promising in a notes client, but when accessing it through a browser, there are several issues,

    such as:

    • language cannot be changed
    • dropdown box in the upper left corner with menu choices shows options like "(?)actnewTicket" etc
    • "Aktualisieren" is missing an icon and when clicking it, it refreshes inside the right frame, meaning a double navigation frame at the left
    • probably some other issues I forget
    • Well if we find someone who is willing to take this ....

        Unfortunately I don't have the skills for it.

        Would be great to have a full functional web interface though

          I made a presentation three weeks ago and one of my customers is interested in this HelpDesk application. His goal is to have the UI completely for the Web, too.

          There is one important requirement. The HelpDesk Database will be out of the beta phase and bugs will be fixed by the OpenNTF community in the future. If this can be answered in a positive way, I may be able to start the Web UI development.

          How do you think about this?

            @Richard:

            First of all, sorry for answering this late.

            Yes ! This version of !!HELP!! is definitely out of the BETA phase and YES, we ( the Notes Community ) will fix bugs in the future ( are there still some ? ;-) ).

            We appreciate your participation in the project; maybe you should contact Nasir M Javed, who assigned the WEB GUI task first ( BTW, a very warm welcome to Nasir M Javed, too ).

            If you have any question, pls. feel free to contact me via mail or skype.

            Thanx to both for helping us with this project.
