• More questions

    Hi,

Going through the german implementation guide to make an english one, I have run into a few of questions.

    1) In the preferences of the newsletter database there is a Agent Signer field. What is this used for?

What name should I put into this name?

    2) Somewhere in the implementation guide it says 'All agents must be signed with the Mail-signer-ID'. What ID is that? Is it just the name of someone who has full rights on the server? In that case should I use the server ID?

    3) After the setup of the agents it says "Hier müssen die drei Kunden DB's mit dem DB signer gesignt werden (InstantTeam Notification)". What is the DB signer ID? Again will the servers ID be suffecient? And what is Instant Team Notification?

    4) If I create a Discussion, an mail is send out to everyone (see question 5), and they get the option of replying to the discusson by mail. If they do this, I can see that the mail arrives at the Instant Team database, but when the ProcessMailIn agent has run, the mail/document disappear and cant be found anywhere.

    5) Is there anyway to prevent to send out mail to everyone when a new discussion subject is created?

I'm really close to have a finished inplementation guide for the KnowledgeWorld Lite, in english, and when its done, I will post

    it here at this forum.

1-3: Generally, I think its very usefull to create a user which has manager rigths on all instantteam databases, editor access on agentlog and names.nsf. This user is the signer. After activating all the agents, you can sign all instantteam databases with this user id. the maildatabase of this user shouldbe a not used maildatabase somewhere on the server (We used the agentlog.nsf, so everything is deleted after a while). The reason for this is, that automatic repklies(out of office mails and others) dont end up in the instantteam. In the newsletter database preferences in the field agent signer, just right the field of this signer user.

That's basically all you have to do for question 1 to 3.

4: The user which send the mail into the instantteam should be registered in the addressbook, which is specified in the instantteam preferences, last tab, secondary domino directory (which can also be the primary)

5: if you leave the field discussion group in the instantteam preferences, tab discussion empty, no mail will be send to noone.

      Hope this helps.

      Thanks for your input.

Additionally, the signer of the it databases should have access to run agents on the server. You can check this on the server document, tab security, run lotusscript agents.

        Otherwise, all agents won't run.
