Hi Tom,
sorry for the delay in getting back to you, we had our first child in Janruary and my "discretionaery" time vanished. The problem must have been at my end, I could not find my original setup but when I did it agin it seemed fine.
I have been messing around with the database getting it to create a different folder for each day using scheduled agents to change the directories. I am keen to have a go at making this front end better and letting you have it - would you be interested ?
The broad idea would be to have an action that compiled a list of all of the databases on a server with a record per database. Users could then flag selected databases for backup and also assign these to folders. There would also be an option to increment the folder name daily ( based on a scheduled agent )
I don't think this would need you to change your dll - I have no idea how to modify dlls in any case. One question would be - does your dll look for all of the documents in the database or all of the documents in a given view - for the above system to work I would need to be able to tell it to ignore some documents by either flagging them or excluding them from a particular view.
Once agian, aplogies for the bum steer and the time taken to come back to you
Sean
