• No 'big' picture

By Ronald Veldhuizen 2 decades ago

I've replaced the design, and imported a new album. At the browser site I openend the album, that was ok. But when I tried to open the maximum picture the only thing I get to see is an empty screen with the famous red croos in the upper left. Deleted the original :( created a new db, the same happend again. When I'm trying to open the orignial picture in Notes I get the message: Note item not found. I did an upgrade from the Easy Thumbnails program, did didn't solve the matter.

Christian, do you know what's going wrong? (I've got a lot of pictures waiting to go online ;) )

    Regards.

The big picture feature is just an agent that outputs a popup window. If the window is not opening, you may have a problem with the agent (maybe not signed with your id) or you have a popup blocker in your browser.

If the popup is opening fine, the problem may be within the HTML code. There are 4 pictures in this windows. The image itself, and 3 images for the shadow. If the shadow is displaying but the image is not, the problem may be with the url of the image. Check this in the HTML code and report your findings here for analysis.

The popup window works ok, the shadow pic's are also displayed. Only the original picture is displayed.

The html code looks ok to me. But as mentioned befoore, I think the orignal picture isn't saved in to Notes.

When I open a picture doc in Notes there are 3 pictures, a thumbnail, a larger picture and the orginal.

The thumbnail and the larger picture I can open in Notes, but when I'm trying to open (or view) the orginal I get the error : Note Item not found. When I look at the fields of the document I can only see two fields $File.

        Hope this helps

Please check the notes document for a field named "OriginalImage". It should contain the name of the attached image. Is it correct?

Please post the failing HTML code here. It should also contain the filename you found in the first step.

When I look in a created document, I can't find a field "OriginalImage". I do find a field named "ImageOriginal" wich contains "Image01.jpg". This name is ok.

But in Notes, when I tried to view/save/open "Image01.jpg" there is an error: Note item not found.

When I look in your document (Sydney) there are three $File field. In a document I've created there are only two fileds $File. I think that's the problem?

              • fix attempt

By Christian Brandlehner 2 decades ago

                1) please create a new database using the current template. Reimport a sample image. Try it.

                2) If this works replace the template of your existing database with the new template. If this does not fix the problem the document may be broken.

                3) If documents are broken export the images back into the filesystem and reimport them (just some to test).

                4) please report your findings.

                Thanks!
