By duration time do you mean the time span taken for a half-day?



We agreed early on in the development of both databases that regardless of how many hours were selected for a half day that it would default to 0.5 of a day. We found that calculating for hours of a day would become messy because the standard working day is not standard across organisations.



If an employee were to take off less than 0.5 of a day, the Team Leader has the option of classing the request as not annual leave (Not A/L). The request can be granted as free time.
