• New release

When are you planning to present the new release in real?

    • Today!

By Emanuele Sandri 2 decades ago

I hope today I'm able to publish a new version of Doc.Wolf.

      Bye

      • Delay...

By Emanuele Sandri 2 decades ago

I apologize, but my optimism was tricked me.

I have to do some other work to make usable the new version. In the first place I must finish some piece of documentation (this task is a MUST), then I would like to add some example.

Doc.Wolf is powerful and simple for the end user but it's complex to administer; without a complete documentation it isn't usable at all.

I want to finish and publish this new version the next week.

        Bye

Can you inform us in a few words what the changes we are waiting for?

What principal changes you did in your Doc.Wolf?

          Thank you a lot.

your new release seems to be great.

Could you already provide a draft doc?

          • Release notes

By Emanuele Sandri 2 decades ago

            Hi Alexey,

I append to this my reply the release notes contents of new release:

This new release of Doc.Wolf add some new important feature to your favorite workflow platform.

            Doc.Wolf.Organization

With this Doc.Wolf module you can specify the organization chart of your company and use it to assign performer to activities of the workflows.

To select one or more elements of organization chart you use the OQL (Organization Query Language); therefore now you can assign to activities of your workflow a more general item that Doc.Wolf evaluate when needed.

            Doc.Wolf.Forms

The Forms database is a base application that we permit to write our web based workflow application in a very short time. Doc.Wolf.Forms offers many interesting features:

            • Web based user interface (the configuration is done by Domino client interface)
            • Dinamically built actions menu: the menu is created from outgoing transitions of the current activity
            • Immediate workflow progress: when a user select an action from the menu the activity instance is immediately submitted to the workflow engine

New features on Doc.Wolf.Engine and Doc.Wolf.Statements

Some new feature was added to Doc.Wolf.Engine and therefore to Doc.Wolf.Statements:
            • OQL Formulas where applicable
            • Access control in transitions (today this will be evaluated to make dynamic menu, some action can be performed only by some user)
            • class id to classify transitions and activities
            • History generator and control (run as, disable history)
            • Send mail for notification or tools now permit to:
              • specify sender
              • attach to mail the workflow instance as an html inline or as an html attachment
              • copy fields from workflow instance to mail
              • execute @formula on mail document before send it
            • Interesting

By Alexey Melnichuk 2 decades ago

              It's very interesting.

I'll look forward to the new release.

I hope the documentation will be included in it.

Thank you a lot for your work.
