OpenNTF Mail Template - Feature Request: Another angle on flagging documents

Something that we have done to the mail template that our users have really liked is creating a way to "flag" documents in the inbox (similar to the follow-up concept). Here's how it works:
Highlight a document in your inbox. Press an action button that allows the user to select one of the following:

Important
Act on Today
Need to review
No Response neccessary
On Hold
(Etc...)

This then changes the _ViewIcon to a different graphic. We also make this column sortable so users can can sort by each category.

Other variations on this theme could be creating a new column so you don't mess with the _ViewIcon column.

This function is similar to Outlook's "Flag to Follow-up" function.

I personally like the way outlook groups all the "special flags", such as attachment and flag icons in the left columns

In Outlook when you open the actual message the type of Flag that was set is displayed.

(Note: Our implementation currently only allows one type of flag)

In this field you can enter the actual request.

You can use the rich text editor for rich text formating. You can also enter HTML to embed objects, e.g. to embed a YouTube video or a screenshot of the project. In this case use '[' and ']' to mark the passthrough HTML as such.

Please note that the first time you use the new UI your description is converted from rich text to MIME. You might want to copy and paste the raw plain text from the old UI in the new UI so that you don't loose information.
