• Question - How to apply oneuiv2 theme

By Usha Dewasthali 1 decade ago

Great app and have learned a lot so far.  One thing I still struggle with is how to apply the oneuiv2 theme to my application. I have an application locally and oneuiv2 does not show up a list of themes under Application properties. However, I see in your demo app that you have it selected, but when I navigate to Themes under resources, it is blank.

I have experimented with creating my own theme and trying to extend the webstandards theme, but would love some direction on how to apply the oneuiv2 theme to my application. Thanks for any help or advice.

    • Using the oneui theme is real easy

As you may have noticed that the demo app doesn't include any css files nor hardly any images. So where does it get its styling from? Uses that OneUI theming and styling that comes with the XPages runtime which is on every Domino 85x server.

So just type in 'oneui' or 'oneuiv2' (852). This tell the app to use the oneui theme that sits on your server and use the style classes contained within.

Once you point your app to the oneui theme you then need to learn the what style classes to use. This can be tricky. But help is at hand. Check out Stefan Wissels blog post from sometime back on this subject -  'http://www.wissel.net/blog/d6plinks/SHWL-7S9D24' Use that and general oneui documentation - 'http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/ddwiki.nsf/dx/12102009164524SCALK8.htm'

      Real simple
