I like this idea. This seems perfectly fit for function, and works really well just having itunes running in miniview mode.



Few things i noticed



1)creating new play list/Get Info etc is available only on right click menu. How about an action button for these?

2)user created playlists dont appear in the domTunes db until the db is reopened.

3)existing playlists in itunes arent loaded into domTunes

4)can itunes be started hidden via the api, then i can get rid of the mini view too!

5)scanning the library takes quite some time! and needs to be done in full whenever new tracks are added.

6) Auto refresh views after changing Rating

7) Comments come in as a series of hex strings

8) I get some issues closing and reopening the database if Itunes itself hasnt finished unloading itself. Automation errors.



Looking forward to seeing what else you can do with it…..
