• Problem with nmailspam.exe V0.91

By Wolfgang Zettl 2 decades ago

I Upgraded to V0.91 by replacing the binaries. However, nmailspam.exe produces an error when started which translates as "Application could not be properly initialized".

As I am using the german Version of Windows 2000 pro, my original message is "Die Anwendung konnte nicht richtig initialisiert werden (0xc0000005). Klicken Sie auf "OK", um die Anwendung zu beenden.

Starting nmailspam.exe on an WinXP Client without installed Domino- Server produces the same error.

      • Recompile with MS-IDE

By Hans-Georg Franke 2 decades ago

        Hi,

I 've done a new build using the IDE from Microsoft (not using the makefile anymore). In now works in my test environment. Please try again by simply replacing the binaries.

(I have added some more logging to server console, too)

OK, the application does start now. But I have sill problems with F-Prot and F-Secure fsav.exe.

Attachments are scanned but I always get 1 as return code.

          Any recommended scanner ??

          • Tested Versions by now

By Hans-Georg Franke 2 decades ago

            Hi,

I 've tested DrWeb/W32 (see Discussion), F-Prot/Linux and some other commercial one/W32 (name?? I post it later).

What is printed at the domino console?

            Aurfuf mit "?????"

            Greetings

            Hans-Georg

            • F-Prot

By Ulrich Krause 2 decades ago

              Hallo Hans-Georg,

              I've installed F-Prot in c:\programme\fprot

              Config doc :

              Programm: c:\programme\fprot\f-prot.exe

              Parameter:/DISINF/NOFLOPPY/NOBOOT/AUTO

at the console I can see that the scanner is started correctly

              "c:\programme\fprot\f-prot.exe/DISINF/NOFLOPPY/NOBOOT/AUTO" "c:\Lotus\Domino\Data\123345\filename.xxx"

then mailscan modifies the subject and delivers the mail.

              same with F-Secure fsav

              OK, I'll try DrWeb/W32
