Are the search APIs extended in this sample project public and published somewhere?  I would like to extend this project with custom UI, but can't find any Javadoc for the APIs used.  If they aren't public on purpose, is there a plan to publish them in the future?  Thanks for a great sample project to get the ideas flowing...
