• Why does this get through?

    By Peter Gloor 2 decades ago

    Sorry, it's kSpam day today.

    I need some further explanation. I'm obviousely doing something wrong. I still see a lot of spam in mail boxes that shouldn't get through. This is an example:

    KS_BL_PROB: 1.0000

    The: 0.2257

    pen: 0.4

    pill: 0.6512

    proven: 0.2991

    add: 0.0583

    inches: 0.99

    Content-Type: 0.99

    multipart: 0.4

    alternative: 0.1759

    http: 0.2796

    border: 0.99

    gif: 0.99

    src: 0.99

    Content-Transfer-Encoding: 0.99

    img: 0.99

    I have no Allow rules defined, so I don't understand why this can happen.

    Any explanation? What I'm doing wrong?

      your notes.ini variables that you've setup for kSpam.

      do you get any errors on the console?

      • After a restart it works!

        Sorry Tom,

        I restarted the server on Friday. Now after the weekend it looks ok.

        In addition I get far less mails in goodmail.nsf so I guess KS_BAYESIAN_PREP_2 was still active for any reason.

        Over the weekend it looked ok.

        Now again, only one out of 16 spam mails with KS_BL_PROB=1.0000 goes to mailspam.nsf. All others are delivered to the user (and are sometimes copied to mailgood.nsf as expected).

        KS_RELOAD=1

        KS_BL_PERIOD=180

        KS_BL_DUMPLISTS=1

        KS_MARK=1

        KS_BAYESIAN_FILTER=1

        KS_BAYESIAN_MARK=1

        KS_BAYESIAN_PREP=1

        I can't see any other console error messages except those "Warning: base64 unexpected end of data" I already reported.

        It might be important for you to know that on the server runs a
