• Unable to register new person

By Robert Clark 2 decades ago

I get the following error on the console of the server hosting the database when I attempt to register a new person for any of my domains.

08/31/2005 11:18:14 PM AMgr: Agent ('Process Requests' in 'UserAdmin.nsf') printing: An error has occurred. The error was Notes error: File does not exist (Clark). Error Number - 4005

Can someone point me to which file it is complaining about?

NB: I am running 6.5.3FP1 and 6.5.4 on 2003. I am using the hosted org (xSP) option to separate all of my users into individual domains.

    Thanks,

    Robert Clark

      Roger,

Did you ensure that the person who signed the agent has permission to run unrestricted agents on the server? I believe the field label on the security tab of the server document is "Run unrestricted methods and operations:"

Also, the file it is speaking of is probably the user's ID file which gets saved wherever you defined in the Domain Config document in the "Set ID Path" field. So, check these things:

      • User that signed the database is listed either individually or in a group defined in the Server document on the security tab in the "Run unrestricted methods and operations" field.
      • Ensure the path defined in the Domain configuration document in the "Set ID Path" field exists and the server has access rights to that path.

Let me know what you find out.
