• OpenLog: Make sure web users have author access

By Markus Koller 2 decades ago

This maybe something for the "Using" document:

Since the web agents run "as web user", to enable logging the web query * agents, you have to make sure that the web users have author access to the openlog database.

Thanks for the feedback! This is actually covered in the documentation within the template:

      "2. Access

"The ACL in the template is the suggested configuration. As you may know, non-authenticated web users in Domino are logged with the user name "Anonymous". As such, this user should be in the ACL if you want standard wiki access to your site. Give "Anonymous" Author access, with the right to create documents. You should also select the [WebUser] ACL role for this user as this will allow all web visitors to edit unlocked content."

hmm, my last response was not saved…

my point was: the #openlog.nsf# has to allow the wik.nsf users to create log documents. that's because the webquerysave agents run as web user. to debug this agents, the openlog.nsf's ACL needs tweaking.

I understand. Apologies for that. Yes, that's a good idea, I will update the docs accordingly.
