I started to translate the Web UI to German. I made a copy of stings.properties and named it strings_de.properties.( I did it the same way as described in XPages Framework where this method works without any issue ).

Then I replaced the static values with dynamically calculated values.

Opening the web interface, I can see that some translations are in place :

I am not able to get it work for all translations.

• resetcache; no effect.
  
• opened application from a computer where it has never been opened before; no effect
  
• opened in IE instead of Firefox, no effect
  
• restarted the server ( 8.5.2 ) and did the steps above; no effect
  
• copied the application to a 8.5.1 server; no effect
  
  
  
  in all situations, only the Logout/ Login ist translated to Abmelden/Anmelden.
