Data Moving Animal - Review: Changed the way we work!
We have now used Data Moving Animal for almost 11 months in production. I can say that this product have really saved at least weeks of my working time.
Where do saving comes from? There are 3 different areas in Dma.
1. Notes-to-Notes.
-It can move data from one database to another. You don't need to write a single line of code.
-It can also autogenerate documents(ie. To-Do's) in same database.
-You can move "heavy" views to separate database and have it updated daily.
-It's easy to create one "master" db to get reports out of multiple databases. Just create scheduled move based on your needs.
-Create "cleaned" database for external users. You can choose what fields to move so you can easily drop confidential fields out of move.
2. Notes transform. If I need to change/add/remove field's data in any database, I can use "Notes transform" to do the task. No agents, no design changes.
3. Excel-to-Notes upload. Starting new Notes-project with all data in Excel? Just few clicks and Excel data is uploaded to Notes. Got new user list in Excel?
Just few clicks and users are created in NAB. Got updated product list in Excel? Just few clicks...
It really makes data to flow and the best part is that I can now also control the flow. If you are doing Domino development or administration I strongly encourage you to
