XPages Extension Library - Feature Request: Add xp:button options to ApplicationLayout Basic Nodes

Hello!

Previously, I wanted to have a UtilityLink open a URL in a new window.  I had to jump thru hoops, but finally got it to work.

Now, I'd like to open an xe:dialog from a UtilityLink, but can't get it to work.  From an xp:button, it opens fine, but when I put the same code in a UtilityLink or PlaceBar action, the dialog always opens and won't close at all.  This happens in Chrome, Firefox and IE7.  If the Basic Node could do a partial refresh, then I think it would work fine.

If we are suggested to use the ApplicationLayout as a standard part of our applications, the links should be more flexible to allow us to do different things.

Thanks, in advance!

In this field you can enter the actual request.

You can use the rich text editor for rich text formating. You can also enter HTML to embed objects, e.g. to embed a YouTube video or a screenshot of the project. In this case use '[' and ']' to mark the passthrough HTML as such.

Please note that the first time you use the new UI your description is converted from rich text to MIME. You might want to copy and paste the raw plain text from the old UI in the new UI so that you don't loose information.
