VIC CRM for Notes - Feature Request: Inbound Letters and Faxes


I was just re-reading the User Manual in preparation for updating it.

Whoops! The Letter form was originally designed to accommodate incoming letters... setting the "Inbound" field should remove all the fields except the body, and you should be able to insert a scanned object. Somewhere along the line when I was moving everything over to shared subforms and streamlining things, I must have forgotten to re-implement the Inbound field. Mea culpa.

You can still manually import the letters, but it should be more convenient. And the extra fields are a big distraction.

I'm fixing that today 20061118 will include an "Inbound" control so you can eliminate the distractions and scan in that stuff more easily.

In this field you can enter the actual request.

You can use the rich text editor for rich text formating. You can also enter HTML to embed objects, e.g. to embed a YouTube video or a screenshot of the project. In this case use '[' and ']' to mark the passthrough HTML as such.

Please note that the first time you use the new UI your description is converted from rich text to MIME. You might want to copy and paste the raw plain text from the old UI in the new UI so that you don't loose information.
