I was planning to just release a version 2.0.0 of Open.TV.

However getting the automatic video and thumbnail conversion is taking longer to code than I had hoped (but it looks like it will work well), and due to a project at my "day job" that uses Open.TV I need to add some extra features quickly....

So version 1.5 will be released in the next 14 days or so, and will include the following features...

-Preview/thumbnail image is now loaded into the player
-FLV player updated to latest version
-FLV player options now contained in keywords to allow player configuration
-Support for .swf files in the player
-Support for an image/logo to be overlayed on the video
-Support for .png, .jpeg, .jpg, .gif files for the thumbnail/preview image
-Link to option now available
-Embed player code now on every page, so you can embed the full player into another site...
-Cut down "Portal" version of player page, with playlist, this is ideal for putting inside a portal server etc

There are a couple of other things I am working on, but thats the planned delivery, I hope that this provides usefull features for people..

In this field you can enter the actual news.

You can use the rich text editor for rich text formating. You can also enter HTML to embed objects, e.g. to embed a YouTube video or a screenshot of the project. In this case use '[' and ']' to mark the passthrough HTML as such.

Please note that the first time you use the new UI your description is converted from rich text to MIME. You might want to copy and paste the raw plain text from the old UI in the new UI so that you don't loose information.
