XPages Forum - Feature Request: To much white space an other suggestions


The Topic Information should be collapsed by default. You seldom use that information.

RSS feed  could be moved to the right of Created on by ....

Another Reply button should be on the top of the page.

The current design needs a lot of scrolling down.  When you are in a discussion forum the Topic Map is essential, that's where you click all the time. It's also impossible to see where you are in the thread, no arrow or marker for example a dot.

It's impossible to edit this rich text field on iPad, browser and platform should be detected and a warning should be sent to iPad users. Maybe the Edit box should be plain text for iPads?

 As noted by others it should be possible to get "Back" to where you came from, back to all documents is not what you want when your are deep in a thread.

  • - AJB: The information at the top has been improved to take up less space.

  • No plans to move the feed at this time. When we move to OneUI, we will align the feed with that.

  • We have a line item in our tracking DB for this.

You can use the rich text editor for rich text formating. You can also enter HTML to embed objects, e.g. to embed a YouTube video or a screenshot of the project. In this case use '[' and ']' to mark the passthrough HTML as such.

Please note that the first time you use the new UI your description is converted from rich text to MIME. You might want to copy and paste the raw plain text from the old UI in the new UI so that you don't loose information.
