• Reloaded vs. ZapNotes

Is there any advantage to using Notes Reloaded as opposed to ZapNotes? http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/sandbox.nsf/0/8aa14311cb0c51c388256aa400804e4e

    • Yes, I think so

Well, it's some time since I used zapnotes, but here are my personal thoughts on advantages using Notes Reloaded:

      • smaller download file
      • no installation, just unzip and you are up running. Nothing added to your registry, no uninstall needed to remove the application (if you ever would need to do that)
      • parameterized, meaning, you can run Notes Reloaded a whole lot other ways than ZapNotes. Notes Reloaded takes alot of parameters, letting you autostart the client, autoclose Notes Reloaded and some other parameters.
      • supports killing/stopping domino servers as well as clients, both ran as application and services
      • supports a built-in upgrade maintenance, letting you upgrade the application within Notes Reloaded
      • more frequent upgrade releases, if needed
      • comes with updated documentation for all possible ways to use Notes Reloaded

        That's what I remember right now….

        Hope you like the application.

        Best regards,
