Could you please upload an unencrypted version of the template "MailMergeTemplate1-05-006.ntf" - if I try to create an new database from this template, I get only a failure-message "database is locally encrypted - cannot be used".

According to my information is "local encryption" set by default in Lotus Notes 8.5 - in the article

If you need further information please do not hesitate to contact me es@finconsult.at - actually I really need just now a tool to copy quite a lot of documents from one notes-application to another and I need to find the documents in the new application in the same folder-structure - so your template would really be a lot of help.
