OpenNTF Mail Experience - Review: 2000 users in production
Our organization is in the commodities trading industry and is based in Hong Kong. We have offices worldwide, including USA, Switzerland and rest of Europe, Singapore, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Indonesia, China, etc.
We started rolling out OpenNTF Mail Experience 1.6 in 2005 when our organization's headcount was 1100.
Now, we have 2000 employees and have upgraded to 1.7b.
We have a slightly mixed environment, as we migrated from Exchange to Domino. Several of our users have complained about the user interface versus Outlook/Exchange.
Approximately 200 employees are still using Outlook, and connecting to their Domino mailbox database on the backend with DAMO.
The rest are mostly using the OpenNTF 1.7b template and a few are using the default R6 mail template, but will be upgraded to OpenNTF 1.7b.
The functionality and useability added in OpenNTF 1.7b has significantly added to user acceptance of Lotus Notes.
We support the development and documentation of this mail template and OpenNTF.org in general.
