• Bug in "Repeat" option (Calendar)

By ISG Support 2 decades ago

First of all - THX for the great Template!

But … it seems there is a bug (probably also in the basic 8.5 Template) - the "Repeat" option is not avalible when you have created the calendar entry - you can only view the dates but can't cancel nor change them …

Any idea how to fix this?

    THX in Advance!

    • Can you check on new entries?

I have seen this behaviour on entries created in an older version of Notes (or via Blackberry's etc), testing with newly created entries it all seems to works fine.

No - it happens with new ones also (at lease also after "Replace Design") - tried it with my own file too - but same result … old or new entries don't make a difference.

BUT - we have the same issue when using 8.5 original template … so it's not fault at all - the question is - how to solve it … maybe it's better to open a call with IBM?

        • Maybe a good idea, I do not experience the problem, so I cannot check what is wrong.

        • Response from IBM

By ISG Support 2 decades ago

          Ah … yes - it's not a bug it's a feature …?

          http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=899&uid=swg21139879

you sure you don't have the same problem on your system?

          Regards

          • Changing the repeat dates hasn't been possible since ND7 as far as I know

By Vince Schuurman/NotesOSS 2 decades ago

(or was that the appointment type? Can't remember) I thought you meant you could not edit the contents of the repeating instances.

Ahhh … misunderstanding. Well - we have added our request to IBM so - maybe - if the developers decide that there is a possibility that some customers might have a problem with this "feature" they change it … very strange what approach they have to such issues (comment from IBM - "probably never is going to be changed …"

Bascially there are workarounds when you have to reshedlue a meeting somewhere in between via deleting this one entry - BUT - if you need to do this with the first one (the parent document) - all entries are going to be deleted …

We have also opend a ticket for the issue not to be bale to shedule meeting longer than 00:00 … let's hope IBM changes this …

              THX for the fast response!
