• URGEN - Mail marked Good not delivered

    By Seni Budi 2 decades ago

    I have many messages that were "confirmed Selercted Messages as Good" These disappeasred from from the NEW MEssage view, and into the ALL DOCUMENTS View.

    None of which were delivered.

    Can some one assist so that I can delivered those mail still in GOODMAIL.NSF database

    • By Seni Budi 2 decades ago

      Here is some added information:

      The version I used is 1.38

      My Dominio is 6.51

      The following setting ared addeed to NOTES.INI

      KS_BAYESIAN_FILTER=1

      KS_BAYESIAN_MARK=1

      KS_NAYESIAN_PREP_2=1

      KS_STATS=1

      KS_MARK=1

      KS_RELOAD=1

      Mails are in both Mailspam.nsf and Mailgood.nsf databases.

      SPAM mail found in MailGood database are send to Mailspam database.

      GOOD mail from Mailspam.nsf are sent to mailgood.nsf database.

      Mail that are good are selected, then the button "Confirmed message as good" is clicked

      The mails are then removed from the views – but they are not delivered to the users.

      Should there be any log for the above action? If So where should the lof information be.

      The "copied and denied" action is recorded in Domino LOG.NSF file.

      Any ideas?

      This button isn't supposed to deliver the mails to the users. It's just for the admin to clean the "new messages" view in mailgood to have a better clarity on new messages in that db.

      Good mails should already have been delivered to the user.

      • Then how to deeal with mails in Mailspam that are good?

        By Seni Budi 2 decades ago

        Thanks for the message.

        Mails that system think that are bad are sent to MailSpam.

        How then do we deal with those mail that are good that goes into it ?

        I think, my problem is that I "did" not educate the system, but implement it right away.

        I have since discovered by reading through the message board that I can copied these mails to mail.box to have them delivered. Hence my work around is is to copy and paste the good mails into mail.box, befre pressing the button.

        Your explanation clarify the situation.

        Based on the current percentage about 1 in 5 mails that goes into mailspam.nsf are good mail.

          • which button?

            By Seni Budi 2 decades ago

            Thanks for the reply. It is a neat piece of software. I am try to get it work right for me :-)

            In the 1.38 version, in Mailspam.nsf there are 3 button in the top with the following:

            Confirm the selected message as Spam

            View MIME Content

            Move selected message to MailGood

            Perhaps you are refrring to a newer version 1.39b2 .. should I use that?

            Thanks

              It should be 'move selected to mailgood' but I think the template has only just been changed so it will be in the next version sorry,

              • ETA on new Template version?

                By Brent Whitfield 2 decades ago

                Hi Tom,

                It sounds like someone is working on revisng the template. Which of the cooks is working on this? I would like to get ETA and feature set.

                Thanks!

        • my setup:

          By Oliver Regelmann 2 decades ago

          In my config kSpam doesn't block any messages, but marks them with the KS_BL_* fields. I created an agent for the mail databases which moves mails having a KS_BL_PROB of bigger than 0.95 to the JunkMail folder.

          I think that's the best setup unless there's a function for the users to check in mailspam.nsf which mails have been blocked. Problem hereby is that they should only be allowed to see their own mail in mailspam.nsf

          With my setup users can look into the JunkMail folder once a day and copy good messages to their inbox and delete the rest in a second with Strg-A and DEL.
