• Support for import of lists

A view that can be used for importing into the database, either from a .csv or through ODBC, would be helpful - this would just be the basic information for a customer, inlcluding name, address, contact name, source, phone number(s), category, and status.

    • There is an import feature

We'd need to determine the fields to be included. I tend to lean toward using import agents for specific formats and letting people create personal views to import anything else they might like with a COL file (since I have no idea what they'd be importing, such a view would probably wind up being revised anyway.).

Perhaps a good place to start would be the format of the Windows Address Book (am I correct in thinking that this is used by Outlook Express, and would accommodate most Windows users?)

In the Index database (Organizations.nsf) there is an agent that is intended to import from Microsoft Outlook. It assumes that you've exported your Outlook contacts to csv. A second agent will then build Organization files from the contacts and set the relationships.

One import agent that I'd like to provide is a vCard import, allowing multiple vCards from a file. This would accommodate a number of addressbooks.

I'll try working with the built-in import; I hadn't seen that. As for the vCard import, I'd like to pursue that further, it seems like it would be a nice standard feature to have. Also being able to send a vCard would be kind of neat too.
