• Problem posting to IBM External Lotus Connections

By Andrew Welch 1 decade ago

I've configured the account to server https://www-950.ibm.com/profiles and when I post, I get the green check mark and no errors in the log, but no post shows up. Any ideas? I'm using the 1.4.2 version on Notes 8.5.2. Successfully posting to Greenhouse & w3 connections.

      Hi Garry,

Try changing the server address to https://www-950.ibm.com

WildFire automatically adds the profiles extension.

      Regards Andrew

          Hi Garry,

Make sure that the email address you have saved in WildFire matches the exact email address you have registered with your Connections account, under "My Profile", and your username and password are the ones you login to Profiles with.  Sometimes accounts are setup with variations in the email.

          Regards Andrew

            Hi,

I verified that my email address on the profile was the same as the one I use to login with. Same result, the post appears to work (green check mark) but no post update appears on my Profile page.

Here is my Wildfire config for this account.

If I drop off the/profiles, I'll get the "red X" and an error in the log.

Interesting point is that if I change my password in the wildfire config to something totally wrong,  I'll still get the green checkmark, and no error in the log, and no post in Connections Profile.

              Hi Garry,
The issue turned out to be that the IBM Connections server was setup to deny using emails as the user identification, which is what WildFire was using.

We have now removed that dependency in Version 1.4.3, and are now using the userid, which works with the IBM Connections server as well.  When you download and install Version 1.4.3, the server address in the preferences should be set to:

              https://www-950.ibm.com

              Thanks for your feedback,
              Regards,
              Andrew Welch
