• Error Message

By Manuel Salazar 2 decades ago

I have dragged the "My Activities" icon from the navigator and dropped it onto the bookmark bar.

When I click on the icon I get a message saying "isn't installed". If the My Activities page is already open, I get a message saying to click on the My Activities tab which is already open.

Clicking on the My Activities icon on the navigator works.

Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks

    Manuel

Manuel, open the Config database from your workspace and edit the global profile (on the Local tab). Make sure that the paths accurately reflect the locations/names of your database files. ONLY the databases that you actually have installed should have the "installed" checkbox checked.

That should take care of it. I use "My Activities" as my homepage. The only trouble I have with it is when Notes crashes (in which case I have to remove the wecome page value from Notes.ini. (and the Config database has an agent on the Action menu to remove this for you).

Dave, I followed your suggestion but still get the same error. While testing, I did find that if the Global Profile document is open, I can open the My Activities page from the bookmark. If I close the Global Profile document, I begin getting the "isn't installed" message again.

        Cheers

        Manuel

I just tested again, and noticed that as long as there is a document open from any VIC database, the My Activities page can be launched from the bookmark toolbar. Closing the documents produces the error message again.
