When using the xml view I noticed that documents with readers fields show in the views when they should not. This only happens sometimes but normally occurs when a different user logs in. It keeps the previous users documents in the views even though the current user is not on the readers field. When the document which should not be in the view is selected for editing a login screens appears sayng 'you are not authorized to access' and 'Please sign in with a name which has sufficient access rights'. This stops the new user from accessing the document but is there a way to stop the document from being displayed in the view. It seems like there is some kind of memory of the view as it remembers the previous users docs. Im not sure if this is a caching thing on IE. I have used the same login ids on the client side and only the relevant doc are being displayed in the view. This tells me its not a problem with the readers fields but it could be the login or the xml view on the web side. Any informaton on this would be great.
I ran across this as well and was able to solve it by appending another parameter with the current users name to the URL that is used to get the XML representation of the view. So…. http://domain/dbname/viewname?readviewentries&start=1 becomes… http://domain/dbname/viewname?readviewentries&start=1&user=username This forces the URL to be unique to the user and prevents the browser from caching the page.
