• Translations?

By Laurynas Ziedas 2 decades ago

    Hello all,

This project is realy GREAT! It is just what I'd have done and even much, much more.

But, as always, there are even more posibble addons. How about 'universal' translation mechanism? In profile there are some fields meant for messages translations. Will it be possible to have every label translatable in such way?

Just a suggestion: an image of form [web page] in profile, with markings - 1st, 2nd, etc. string, and below [or next to that image] there are fields with default english or german values.

That way everyone could easily translate all of the interface to whatever language he needs!

This concept arouse when after two days of translations from egnlish to lithuanian I've found, that there has been new release posted… :(

      Hi!

I agree with you. Project is GREAT. Thanks to developers!

But, if you start with a translation into lithuanian, please, share your code. :)

      Best regards,

      Giedrius

…there is "draft" translation of 1.0.3 version. But it is very inconvinient to translate the same code again and again… So maybe it is worth requesting this feature as a standard "plug-in"?

Also I've made minor hack for this database to be multiuser friendly. Curently [at least, til v1.0.3] it supported only one photographer. So I've changed a little bit import agent so, that it will better suit our intranet needs. Maybe it will be an interesting request?

Hey this is Open Source. So instead of requesting a feature you have already implemented you should share your modifications so it can be implemented.

OK, how could I do that? I've requested this feature because coudn't find a way of posting it here… As far as I understand, "Code Bin" isn't meant for this purpose, as my work was just a minor modification and relates only to this project…

Or should I send my code directly to Christian Brandlehner?

There is no upload function on OpenNTF yet so please send your template version, with some documentation of the changes if available, to christian(at)brandlehner.at

              Thanks!
