• Cannot open

By Attila Peter 2 decades ago

I tried to open it and I get the following error message: "You are not authorized to access that database".

I put the db to my local disk. Can you help solving this problem?

    Thanks. Attila

    • It opens fine. Try this...

The database ACL is set to give -Default- Manager access but it does have "Enforce consistent ACL" enabled, which could pose problems but for the -Default- setting. If you're having problems opening it, it isn't because the database can't be opened, but something else is obviously going on. Make sure that you extract the superntf*.nsf file into your local Notes\Data\ directory structure and try again. Trying to open it from some other random directory Also note that versions prior to 6.5 are not supported, although I think you could open it in 6.0 with no obvious problems.

If that doesn't get you in, let me know what OS and Notes client versions you are running.

I tried again, and I cannot open it. I have XP with R7. My data directory is d:\work\notes7\data. I put the file there.

        • You did extract the .nsf from .zip first , right?

May be a silly question but I have to ask. It's definitely something weird about your set up because others have had no problem. That said, if you still can't get it sorted send me an email with your address and email you a version with enforce consistent turned off.
