• Simple action to export view from database

    Before Notes Reconn was born, there were many developers that used to create views for exporting data out of Notes database. Those views may still be there and it'd be useful to have very simple agent that can do the export within just few steps:

    1. Select database
    2. Select view to export
    3. Select filename/location for new file.



      What do you think? There are built-in actions in Notes for that but main point is that you can handle all exports from single database.

      Hi Olli,



      I agree with you completely on this. We need to be able to process a view - rather than just processing a

      document collection. The charts can already process a view so it makes sense that the (tabular) reports

      have the same functionality. I'll add this to our requirements. It will make the reports run much faster when

      using a view index. Johnny - does this sound okay with you?

        Good point, that is something we have been thinking about but haven't got a chance to implement.



        I will create a story for your proposal, and deliver it in an agile manner, maybe end up with a showcase for you, :).
