• Problems on uploading a Picture

By Martin Gasteiger 1 decade ago

    Hello,

i can`t upoad a Picture in my Profile or in a Teamroom. It is a jpg-File.

Adding a Photo to a post works.

It seems there is also al Problem in Adding Skills in the Profile.

If i type in a new skill and click on "Save Changes" the system says "Saved" but the new entry is not in my list of skills.

    Greetings

    Martin

      - What browser are you using and version?
      - Is it a specific jpg that is not working or none?

        • java policy?

By Thomas Adrian 1 decade ago

          a few more question

          - Are you using your own version of intrapages or on intrapages.com?
          - Have you added permissions to your java.policy file?

Check the log view in notes client for any errors

        • maybe...

By Thomas Adrian 1 decade ago

          just thought about something...

when you upload photos a temporary file is stored in c:\temp\ on the server (or local)

Maybe an issue can be if c:\temp does not exist or if you are not running windows?

please try and add the c:\temp dir and let me know if that works

          thanks

          Thomas

I have not tested my code on Linux. but you are probably right because c:\temp is currently hardcoded.
I have no linux environment to test in.

are you a developer or/and can you help me test on linux?

              • Yes i can test

By Martin Gasteiger 1 decade ago

I´m a developer and can help you to test it.

If you say me what i have to change then i will immediately test it.

The equivalent to "C:\temp" should be "/tmp" on a linux system.

By Thomas Adrian 1 decade ago

I can hopefully send you a new version tonight. I am thinking about using session.getEnvinronmentString to get the notes data directory from notes.ini and use that directory instead

if you want to test yourself can search and replace "temp" in commonSSJS and photoSSJS.

                  /Thomas

                  • It works

By Martin Gasteiger 1 decade ago

I have replaced the "c:\\temp\\" string with "/tmp/" and now it works.

                    Thank you for helping.

nice to hear that it is working. now I just need to make a solution that works everywhere.

                      Hello,

In the latest release I have used the directory path from notes.ini. would be great if you could test this on linux
