• v 0.99g: MailScan_ConvertToCD

    dear hans georg franke!

    i (think i) have the same problem as christian brandlehner!

    we have 15 notes (hub + 14 spokes) servers running on linux RedHat EL 3 with domino 6.5.2 and mailscan V.099g.

    there are no entries in the mailscan.ext.log. you described at (http://www.openntf.org/projects/PMT.nsf/66d9103768cc2fed85256c59006b5433/8bee4a53d730329b86256fc2007fc4df!OpenDocument)

    the effect is, that "[IMAGE]" instead of the pic is shown, the picture is shown inline at the end of the mail. (only when i send mails from notes to the internet, when i send it domino-domain intern, then all is ok)

    further on i got "(Embedded image moved to file: pic23377.jpg)"

    when i send an email from notes to internernet, i have a problem depending on the size of the jpg-file i import in my notes-client.

    i sent many emails in the same way, the only difference was the jpg size i imported.

    i got 2 results. with file aaa.jpg (less then about 100kb) it was ok, with bbb.jpg (more than about 100kb)it was the described bug.

    what i additionally found out ist, that when i send an inline jpg with mailscan working, the mailsize (shown in outlook express) is about 130kb, when mailscan not running, the mail size is bout 80 kb.

    the other thing is incoming mails:

    when i send an html email from the internet with outlook express to my domino account, the size of the pic does not matter, again "[IMAGE]" printed in red letters is shown instead of the pic, the inline-pic is shown at the end of the mail.

    Many newsletters are written in html format, so it is very desturbing.

    notes.ini parameters:

    MailScanConfigDB=atlndomsr11/xxxxxxxxxx!!virconf.nsf

    EXTMGR_ADDINS=libmailscan.so

    MailScan_DebugLevel=1

    MailScan_ExtDebugLevel=1

    MailScan_logToFile=1

    MailScan_ConvertToCDOn=0

    please help to fix the problem. i you need any otputs of logs or what ever please contact me, i can privide some pictures showing the same mail with and without running scanmail.

    thanx

    fritz
