• Notes 9 support on Mac, Linux, Windows

By Joel Michaels 8 years ago

Well, it's been 3.5 years since the last release, so I wanted to propose an alternate solution for those of you eagerly awaiting mail merge support with IBM Notes 9 running on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Currently, you must download the tool below to support IBM Notes 9 running on Windows, Mac and Linux. The tool is a third-party software which is a Notes DB app. It supports Notes (Standard) and Notes (Basic) running on Mac, Windows and Linux. If you are using IBM Notes on Mac or Linux you can import Excel if you first save it as a CSV file, then use the button in the app. Otherwise, you can use the button if you are using Windows. You can use the Lite (free) version, but for full features you need to purchase a license.

      Hi Joel,

Thanks for your input. But I'd appreciate it if you not spam a project's discussion page with the same answer, especially since your offering is a commercial one. OpenNTF is for open-source and collaborative development.

The scripts in the OpenNTF project work on Notes 7, 8 and 9 Windows platforms only, but at 10,000 downloads most people will find this script to be adequate for their needs.

Your utility has gone about solving the Mail Merge problem in a slightly different way (through a dedicated Notes DB), which adds a nicer form-driven interface to the Mail Merge function and supports Mac and Linux platforms through supporting CSV…
These are on the Feature Request list for this project as well. But a lot of what your paid utility does is already included in this Mail Merge for Lotus Notes project.
