• Comments back to files?

Do you think it would be possible to write Comments information back to source files on the hard drive once they have been added to the Notes documents?

If the image file is a JPEG there is a way to store information to an EXIF field called "comments". Currently this database does ONLY READ EXIF information. Is writing EXIF what you are requesting?

        Hi Christian

That's exactly what I meant to say but after a very long day of meetings at work, I failed miserably!

Yes, that would be perfect. Coupled with the ability for other people to amend comments and upload pictures from a web interface with no Notes client, it will make this very powerful.

As an aside - I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 and JAlbum presently to organise my images and convert them to a web album and I would dearly love to get rid of both! The huge problem I have is hundreds of pictures that need sorting, collating and commenting and want to be shared online with people but a number of other people want to help me with this and can't as everything is on the one PC and not currently able to be amended in this wonderful DB :-)

You know what I would do - if you have the choice and backing of all other people here involved? I would drop further development of the Notes client alltogether, and concentrate on the web interface! I can bring myself and a colleague to help you with this (JS/DHTML/CSS/LotusScript/etc) and scores of ideas. I am not posting this here to be arrogant - just merely starting a discussion (that may well be flamed within the hour, hehehe)

Just my two-penneth! What you have so far is amazing. I love it :-)
