• Getting mails to mailgood / mailspam

By Barny Arntjen 2 decades ago

    Hello @ll.

I got some problems filling the good- and spam-database with mails.

I restarted Domino (V6.5.4 on W2k3.Server) and had 5 mails all in "mailgood". I think, that's how it should continue to behave => forwarding all mails to that database, where I can decide wether it's spam or not.

So after an hour I inspected both databases again, but had no mails in them. (The log-file shows a couple of new mails with some definite spams). But these mails where directly forwarded. The field KS_IID is included in all maiheader. But nothing else (like somewhere else posted here).

What can I do to make kspam move/copy all new mails without rule to that databases where I can decide, what to do?

    Greetings

Why not set up deny rule that has your @domain in the to filed, set it to copy and deny and then all your mail will go in the mailspam database - and you can then manually move to mailgood or confirm as spam?

Hello and thank's for that hint.

Is that the ideal way training the filter?

I thought, mails will be delivered AND added to the spam-db where I can decide what to do, next time a similar mail is delivered.

As I understood, setting action to "copy and deny" no mail will be send to intended recipient, until I tell the filter to accept a mail as non-spam ?!

And -by first starting kspam- there where some mails in the goodmail.nsf. I expected it to do so every time a mail comes in.

Can this been set somehow? Or maybe I have some problems understanding some kSpam-basics
