• Send Type Still not working

By Tom Bloomquist 2 decades ago

I'm running Notes 6.5.3 and cannot get "Sent Type" to work. I can toggle Time and Size but Sent type doesn't turn on. Happy to add more details. Please let me know… Tom

    • New DB

      Tom,

Please create a new database from the downloaded template and test. This will help you verify that all does indeed work fine with the ONTF template and that you appear to have a localised issue.

      Please advise

      • works fine for me on upgraded design

upgraded 1.5.8 to ONTF6.5.3 - works fine. You do have to close and open the db for the changes to show.

        • 1.5.8 vs 6.5.3

By Tom Bloomquist 2 decades ago

Those are two different code streams (International verses plain ME). Did you replace or update your replica? Is it possible that 1.5.8 left some settings or forms behind in the mailfile? Should I install 1.5.8? I think I have a version around here somewhere… I tried it on a new DB. It didn't work.

Does the Sent Type work off of the Database Title or the Database owner? My Title is Tom Bloomquist but the owner is my long notes name.

          • Question

By Ben Rose 2 decades ago

Can you see the "send type" column and it's empty? Or can you not see the column at all?

I've been assuming the column is hidden…

            Cheers,

            Ben

            Ignore 1.5.8 etc. we've buried them ;O)

The send type works off the DB title, so if this doesn't match your notes mail address then the send type column will not have any entries.

Not sure why the code uses DB title to be honest, I'll investigate.

      • New DB Doesn't Work

By Tom Bloomquist 2 decades ago

Ben, Created a new DB using OF1. Toggled the Advanced Settings to indicate Sent Type, Time and Size. Copied a mix documents (internet, internal to me and cc to me) from my Inbox. The resulting new DB Inbox only shows two of three colums - Time and Size, and no Sent Type. Changed the database props to Mailfile from Standard but that didn't make a difference. Rebuilt the views using CTL-SHift F9 but that didn't work either. Can I look anywhere else for a hidden setting?

        • View Template $Inbox

By Tom Bloomquist 2 decades ago

I noticed browsing the $$View Template ($inbox) with designer that all of my mail is VIM_Mail256. Not sure what that means….

Why is Column $103 looking at the CalendarProfile for the hide column? I would have thought it would be InboxProfile… Oh well, musings of an uninformed hack…

          • Do you use IM?

By Ben Rose 2 decades ago

Tom, do you use Instant messaging at all?

            You can get me using…

            AIM: t731bok

            Yahoo: t731bok

            MSN: microsoft@jaffacake.net

May be easier to discuss this one to one.
