• Subform name changed linked in other subform

By Jim Romaine 2 decades ago

I was recently upgrading a version 1.0.2 to 1.1 and was wondering why certain pages were not displaying correctly. I only have a few test wikis out, so I am not in them that often so I put off checking into.

I opened the document in the Notes Client and noticed the status bar had a message sub form "Meta Data" was not loaded. While looking around I noticed that the subform "Notes\wiki metadata" was previously called "Notes\Meta data" and with the recent upgrade both the name and alias changed causing a problem with the subform "Notes\Wiki Content". I seemed to have corrected my local version by updating "Notes\Wiki Content" to point to the new subform name. Just wanted to pass this along to be sure that this was the correct subform to link.

    • Hmmm

Wow, old versions! The subform names have certainly changed, but the aliases haven't, so that sounds odd - the links should still work. In any case, a design update, if completed ok, would address this. SO there's something fishy going on in your databases I think.

      • Much older release where the wiki meta data was not available

The older release I had (it may have been from the original OpenWiki project? ) did not have the subform Notes\Wiki metadata only Notes\Meta data so the aliases had changed. I should have checked a bit closer when I upgraded. Thanks for the reply.
