• Feature apparently -not- implemented

I'm hoping that it's simply an oversight on my part, but…

After becoming hopelessly frustrated with my corporate notes template and the built-in notes 6.5 template I was excited to find OpenNTF. However one thing that I've seen requested at different points, and even noted as "added" to 1.5 is the ability for the inbox to support a categorized view, arranged by mail importance.

I don't see it. I can clearly see notes that ARE listed as 'urgent', yet I can find no option to enable categories, or even the ability to sort email by the column that denotes importance. So, was the option TRULY added in release 1.5 and I'm simply making some mistake in trying to view categories? Or is the option just not supported?

    • Update added independently; contributing to OpenNTF?

I've no previous experience working with the designer, but I was so motivated to get the extra features in the latest 1.6 template over my corporate template that I decided to add a few desired features myself. Is there any way to submit my altered template as another option for people? The changes are…

      • $Inbox has 3 categories for all notes, "Urgent", "Calendar Items", and "Normal"
      • Date column reverted to include date & time, instead of just date
        • I know there is an optional "time" column, but I have a personal pref to include both in one column, always
      • You can sort by subject again. Just because… why remove it? I know you can sort by thread, but why remove an ability instead of having both?
      • Created a new folder design which mimics the $inbox, save for no categorization (intended for all user-created folders)
        • This was done since more than likely you'll need to upgrade all your sub-folder design templates to prevent design conflicts inherited from a previous template
      • For some reason in the 1.6 template all "reply" documents versus "memo" documents have different action bar definitions for the "Reply Other" button options. This has been fixed so that all memos have the same "Reply Other" options
