I have been looking for something like this for a long, long time. Photography is my hobby (when I'm not testing Notes/Domino Security features <G>) and I was looking for a nice way to display my photos on a Domino test server. This template, combined with the "Easy Thumbnails" program has given me almost everything which I need. I have a few questions, though. I'm using Domino 6.5.1 12/21/2003 Build (not released yet, it's still being tested) on Win 2000. I'm sometimes seeing this error on the server console "12/27/2003 04:20:15 PM Agent message: No Conf_Ref_Block in profdoc [line 44]". I have purposely left some of the "Settings -> Block Config" items blank and was wondering if that might be causing the error. It does not appear to hurt the functionality, but I was curious about it.
Also, I make the ACL settings on a new database (using your template) very secure (for example: Default = No Access, Anonymous = No Access, but the Admin and Server have as many rights as I can give to Managers) and I notice (after importing a photo) this message in the status bar: "Document attachment is invalid". I suspect it is because something does not have permission to work with the very secure settings, but I don't know what that would be. It is not a big problem, but I was wondering what causes this. I have noticed that, before I tighten the ACL, little images do appear while I'm working with the photo documents in the database (using the Notes client). Everything works fine when using a browser (IE6 or Mozilla 1.5).
There is one thing which I would like to change from German to English. When I click a link under "By Category" to see an album (when using a browser), the title is usually something like this:
Bilder im Fotoalbum <title>
I'd like to have that appear in English, but I don't want to "break" anything by trying to change it without knowing what I'm doing (I only test Notes/Domino; I'm not a programmer). Is there a way to change this using the Notes Designer?
When viewing an album from a browser, I see a "Permalink" icon (it looks like a thumbtack holding a little piece of paper) and I was wondering what that does. Maybe I disabled what it does by not using some of the Block Config settings? My German is extremely bad compared to your English, so I don't completely understand everything in the template. ;-)
One more thing. Although I'm running a very private test Web server (mostly for my own testing purposes, but I let a few of my friends and my family have access to it, so they can see my photos), I'd like to give you "credit" for this excellent template. How would you like me to do that? Would you like me to add a link to your website or something like that? Would you like a little money for your efforts? Also, there are several other amature photographers at work which I believe would be very interested in using your template to display their photos. Would that be OK with you? Should I direct them to this site to download the latest version?
I'm very new to this site (OpenNTF) and don't know all of the "traditions" here, yet. ;-) Thank you again for all of your hard work!
