Does 8.5.2 fix pack 3 work with 8.5.3 extension library?

Hello,
I tried installing the 8.5.3 extension library on a 8.5.2 fix pack 3 server. I was under the impression that fix pack 3 was the same as 8.5.3 but when I try to verify the installation I get the following:
RESOLVED com.ibm.xsp.extlib.connections_8.5.201110020207NTF Master=21

Can you tell is this correct or do I need to use extension library 8.5.2.
