With this small script you could perform maintenance in the night on your domino core files. The script has a lot of features and allows you to start the domino server before maintenance or it could start the server after maintenance, it could also check and install MS-Windows Hotfixes (since V8).
since Ver1.0:
- Can Defrag HD C full unattended
- Can reboot the complete server (after the maintenance) automatically
- Start/Stop from the Domino Server full automatically
- Check where Domino is installed
since Ver3.0:
- Check if there is a mail1.box or a mail.box or...
- Debugmode for the Script
- Close box (from script) after it finished the maintenance
since Ver5.2:
- Can defrag windows 2003 bootfiles
- Can log the output to a file
- Will only run maintenance on files which exist
- Will write a entry to the Windows System log before reboot the server.
since V6:
- Added support for Windows 2003 SP2 (Fixed issue with SP2 on Windows 2003)
- Will delete the .jsc_lock (if exists)
since Ver7.0
- Added support for Domino 8.5.x
- Designed to run via TaskManager (e.g. for weekly maintenance on the weekend)
- Build in support for windows 2003 64 bit systems (32 bit systems are supported since 1.0)
- Will stop the domino Server and will check if it offline before processing with the maintenance
- Will run a NSD if domino will not quit in the given time (default = 60min.)
- Will detect the propper service name (via notes.ini value) for the shutdown
- Can start the Domino server / or reboot the server after maintenance
since Ver8.0
- rewrote script in VBS (Windows Scripting Host)
- options can be controlled via notes.ini (see documentation for the possible options)
- can check for windows updates and will install them (if needed, otherwise it could quit [you decide])
Notes:
This script isnīt working on partioned server! Means if on the same OS are running more then one domino server this script will not work! |
