Thanks for the response. 

I am trying to explore the xpagesjdbc.nsf and trying to connect ms sql . Initially it is working fine with derby db connection.

Then i updated the new release of ext library. Now Even the connection to derby fails. In the setup page when i click the Test Connection button it throws 'Connection failed, java.sql.SQLException' What could be the reason?

And Then i have gone thru the URL given by you. But i can see general steps creating a plugin. But i cant understand how to create a mssql plugin using the jdbc jar file.Can you plz explain with steps. Plz excuse I am new to this concept.
