• Exception thrown! when sending report

    Hello.

    DD task complete well but is not able to send email report.

    I get error Exception thrown!.

    I have control 2 times and parameters in NOTES.INI are OK (I used the same on other servers)

      And works below….. You don't happen to have another instance of DominoDefrag_SummaryEmailFrom= in your Notes INI

        Hello.

        I have checked NOTES.INI : instance of parameters are unique.

        Today, I try something : open NOTES.INI from a server where DD complete without error and cut/paste the 4 config lines to my faulty server.

        I will have to wait Saturday for the next execution of DD.

        I will update with the results on Monday.

          Having the same problem here.



          It only happens on Windows 2008 64 Bit with Domino 8.5.1 FP1 64 Bit.

            Thanks Stefan. Getting a bit frustrated with this bug as I can't reproduce it on my Windows 2008 64bit R851FP1 server. So in version 2.3 I'm going to use the following new code to see if this fixes this intermitent bug….

              if i can help you with some analysis data (if you can tell me how to get it ;) ) Btw some servers send the mail but when i connect to the server there is the appcrash window.

                using your AppCrash.exe info I managed to replicate the 64bit crash bug. Working to fix it now for version 2.3.

        • Origin of error Found

          Hello.

          After some days, I have find the origin of problem : no line MAILSERVER= in NOTES.INI.



          In fact, this server is an older one and is still in R5.0.11 !! We have some difficults to push appliccations on newer release servers.

          I have add the line and DD run well. But a know bug in R5 make the line disappear, and the workaround doesn't apply.



          May be a pre-control during initialization of DD can be useful ?
